Description
We haven't had street cleaning in a decade.....yet the signs remain confusing visitors and would be home buyers. Just had a showing yesterday where the buyer did not want to live on a street where they would have to move there car twice a week......
Also the no parking sign at Passyunk & Wharton is set about 30 feet back from the corner. No reason for this. Again, ten plus years ago there was a lot where an auto body shop parked cars and needed access. Now it is a garden with no need to restrict parking. these outdated signs are ugly and confusing. They need to be removed.

Hi H.,
The Passyunk Square Civic Association is in the process of doing a signage project that will replace many of the outdated No Parking/Street Cleaning signs with "Welcome to Passyunk Square" (or something to that effect and the website www.passyunksquare.org). We're hoping to accomplish three things... (1) continue our efforts to brand the neighborhood from 6th to Broad and Washington to Tasker as Passyunk Square, (2) alert people to the existence of and good work of the Passyunk Square Civic Association and (3) remove the outdated signs.
If you have any questions you can find our contact information at www.passyunksquare.org (where you can also sign up to be on our email list). Also, feel free to use the fact that there is an active, hardworking civic association that is striving to imporve the neighborhood as a selling point when showing houses!
Best,
