Description

San Mateo is one of the busiest streets in Albuquerque. The traffic lights on streets crossing San Mateo are supposed to be coordinated to let San Mateo traffic through, are they not?

Going Southbound on San Mateo, the light at Central turns green and many cars start going South. The next light two blocks later (after Walmart) is also green. But this does no good because the traffic light on Zuni turns red just in time to stop the dozens of cars that have come through the green light on Central. Coordinated traffic lights are good because they allow for the flow of traffic. Why stop everyone at Zuni which has been turned into a one-lane road? Let's get that light in sync with the traffic flow on San Mateo.
